WESTMINSTER DAY SURGERY joins Blue Grey Pink for the release of debut album SUPER HAPPY FUN LAND
Westminster Day Surgery is the solo project of songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer Mitch McDonald from Perth, Western Australia.
Writing and performing in a plethora of acts over the past decade, most notably Perth band The Love Junkies, Westminster Day Surgery is the platform in which the producer can jump genres, explore alternate sonic textures and lose himself in foreign audible landscapes.
His debut album “Super Happy Fun Land” is a collection of songs written and recorded over the past 11 years and the beginning of a new venture by the artist.
This 9 track album was made between 2009 and 2019 mostly at Blackbird sound studios. A combination of bedroom production and late night experimentation conducted in recording studios after everyone has gone home.
