Pat Chow take out Rock Song Of The Year at WAMSOTY Awards

WAM’s Song Of The Year (WAMSOTY) is an annual competition, promoting the talented, original songwriting of West Australian artists that embraces contemporary music of all genres, levels and ages.

The annual event was held last night at Freo Social, with nominated WA musicians being awarded for their songwriting efforts across 17 categories, including; Blues/Roots, Country, Electronic, Experimental, Folk, Jazz, Metal/Heavy, Punk/Hardcore, Pop, Rock, Urban/Hip Hop, Global and Act-Belong-Commit, plus extra categories for Schools 14 Years & Under, Schools 15-18, Outstanding Indigenous and Outstanding Regional.

Blue Grey Pink would like to congratulate all nominees and winners from last nights event, with a very special congratulations going to Pat Chow and ‘It Get’s Worse’ which took out the WAMSOTY in the Rock category.

Released last year on Blue Grey Pink, the glorious fuzzed-out track lyrically unpacks anxiety, dissacotian, and the work it takes to shake that feeling.

Be sure to give it a listen x
