The Beaufort St Songwriters Club proudly presents their latest weekly-up event; The Leederville Songwriters Club, an intimate immersion into some of the finest original local talent Perth has to offer. What started as a pop-up space in 2020 has become our new regular home.
With raw emotion filled voices, gentle plucks of a guitar and intricate pattering of keys, prepare to be mesmerised each and every Tuesday at Vinyl Cafe, Newcastle St, Leederville.
A 320 capacity basement music venue and nightclub located down Wolf lane off Murray street in the heart of Perth city. A welcoming space that hosts a truly diverse range of events, from Jazz to drum and bass, The Sewing Room does everything.
Hosted tours from national and international live acts and DJs. Some of the recent shows include: G-Flip, Pist Idiots, Objekt, The Hard Aches, WAAX, Gum, Grooverider, Mallgrab, Great Gable, Japanese Wallpaper, The Soul Groovers and many more.
The Beaufort St Songwriters Club started in 2015 and ran Thursday night in Mt Lawley for 5 and half years. During that time, we have seen some of the finest WA songwriters come through our humble and intimate event.
As a nurturing event that provides a space for artists and audience to create and engage, the songwriters club has provided an inclusive environment for songwriters of all demographics to perform. We are proud to have hosted some of WA’s best songwriters, who got some of their first chances to play at our event. Acts like Stella Donnelly, Noah Dillon, Carla Geneve, Jacob Diamond, and more have played our nights at the start of their career.
Over the years, the Beaufort St Songwriters Club have hosted events all over WA. Often running as a pop-up during fringe, or featuring at festivals like Beauvine food & Wine, Hyde park Community Festival, Beaufort St Festival, and more.
In the depths of 2020 covid lockdowns Mt Lawley lost its original watering hole in the Flying Scotsman and we were forced to find a new home for The Beaufort St Songwriters Club. Now a pop-up event series The Beaufort St Songwriters has appeared at The Sewing Room, The Bird, Dutch Trading Co, Seasonal Brewing Co, become a regular in Leederville with the Leederville Songwriters Club.
A new live music event for Mandurah. Located in regional WA but only an hour from the city, Mandurah is beloved coastal getaway for a lot of people and musically starved for others. Teaming up with the only nightclub in Mandurah, we’ve brought the only live music event into the growing town. Partying hard on the last Thursday of every month with local acts and touring acts.
The annual North Freo Pub Crawl ran every year since 2016, taking over both sides of Tydeman Road around January or February. With around 20 acts hitting 4 stages from 6pm, this was one of the great local music parties of the year.

Through September and October 2020, the beloved Mt Lawley songwriter event gets extra intimate at the Northbridge institution THE BIRD.
Located on William Street the Bird has hosted the best up and coming talent for over 10 years. A stage that has seen many of the biggest WA exports hone their craft between the brown curtains and exposed brick honours the Mt Lawley born BEAUFORT ST SONGWRITERS CLUB every Thursday over 8 weeks.
